What now, Chemo Sabe?
Can I stop exercising now, please?
Moderately energetic weekend is winding down and I am stuffed. Reffed three soccer games yesterday (energetic 11 year olds - at least I can still run as fast as they can when I need to). And then Sam and his mate Li needed driving to the school prom about 10 miles from here and, horror of horrors, picking up at 11:15 p.m., an hour I haven't seen - except when getting out of bed for a pee - for several months. Slept til nearly 8 a.m. to make up for it. After a leisurely read of the paper, Susan and I took mercy on my nocturnal bathroom habits and moved the furniture around in the bedroom so my side of the bed is now close to the bathroom door. (Yes, we could simply have changed sides in the bed but where's the fun in that?) One of the upsides of having put hardwood flooring in the bedroom last year (or the year before or...) is that we can simply slide the furniture around rather than carrying it over carpet. Whole job took less than 20 minutes including sending a few spiders to Dyson heaven.
Then it was time to finish the outside steps which is now done. Very slow progress as the mind was willing but the body couldn't give a toss. Something tells me the last few pavers are less than level and not as well installed as the others. Bugger them. And now I am too knackered to take photos - maybe tomorrow.
I think I am starting to appreciate what other people have said about the chemo. At this time of day, I should be starving but I'm not even remotely hungry. Also, the sites of my belly fat jabs are looking like large red mozzie bites and my gut hurts mildly - don't know if that's inside or out. However the good news is that the bumps and bruises I gave myself last week mishandling large lumps of lumber have all but gone and there is only a little bit of scar left on my self-shortened index finger.
Must sneak downstairs and clean up my office and the porch tomorrow - I've been using the porch as my workshop for the step building so it's full of sawdust and offcut bits of wood. Doesn't exactly look like a picture from Home & Garden - wouldn't even rate good enough for the "before" of "Turn your ugly porch into a luxury logia".
Blurg.
seems you area chugging along at a fine pace. Keep up the good, and sleep as late as you like tomorrow.
