Blurg
Blurg
Please remind me not to be so smug about not wanting to barf. Absolutely knackered yesterday, made it into bed about 9 and went out like a light. Unlike previous weeks the "6 pee night" didn't strike. However my delicious bowl of granola (handmade by Susan, no less!) was less than appetising, even with blueberries and the thought of reviewing it did briefly cross my mind. Anti-nausea pill to the rescue. I am going to the faculty room now to get a cup of coffee - please don't let there be a box of donuts there - I may not survive.
Brain's not doing too great, either. It took me 10 minutes to figure out which wire was which on the bottom of an LED light array in robotics class. To be fair, there are 16 wires coming out of it and they don't come out in the order you might expect even once you've discovered which of them is number 1.
Excuse me - I hope the faculty toilet is vacant...
OK - teaching day is over. It actually went very well except for my own bumbling efforts in robotics. I did find a major typo in the textbook though which always makes you feel good. I needed to fill the car on the way home and for some unfathomable reason decided that buying some fried chicken for lunch was a good idea. I now disagree.
Got home to find a pile of medical bills and, there being no time like the present, ripped them open. Much to my surprise the biggest was $89 for the ambulance which is about twice the cab fare to the hospital and at least the ambulance driver knew how to get there (I didn't bother to check if there was anything on the bill about the other 90% of it being picked up by insurance). I'm sure I am tempting fate mentioning this - I know the chemo is where the big bucks are.
Right - got to do something vaguely useful with the afternoon. As it's snowing (a bit) and blowing (more than a bit), whatever I do will be done indoors. Right now, taking a close look at the inside of my eyelids for half an hour has a lot going for it.
And no, I haven't barfed.
